In Search Of The Abyssal
This is a medium sized, rectangular book with its cover and pages made out of a strange, heavy material. The cover is dark black and bound in leather and has a very smooth texture to it. On the cover is the title written in thick, bright red text and a clockwise spiral is impressed into the leathery material.
Inside, the pages are also a dark black color and seem to be made of some unknown smooth type of skin. The interior text is also written in bright red ink, with wide letters in a slow, deliberate hand.
Purpose
Vanhin Rahasia created this book as a well meaning attempt to identify and categorize the various demons that might be interacting with the worlds inhabitants. He believed that if great heroes and leaders had knowledge of these beings then they would be able to defeat them more quickly and with less loss of life.
Unfortunately, several short sighted and influential people used his work to incite fear and turn the populace against not only him but also other demonologists, sorcerers, and wizards alike.

Despite the negative connotations associated with a book such as this, it has been secretly and magically reproduced to create a dozen or so safeguarded copies.
Legal status
Possession of this book is considered a criminal act in nearly all jurisdictions. Those who have this book are considered to be active enemies of the state and are relentlessly sought out, imprisoned, and often put to death.

Public Reaction
Very few in the public know of this books existence, but those who do are often led to the conclusion, by influential leaders, that this is an evil work and anyone who posses it must be destroyed.
