Sabyn

Sabyn is a city located on an island in the center of Lake Lun'kor. It is the home of the Luminous Seers.

Districts

Sabyn is divided into three districts built in concentric circles around the center of the city and each one sitting at a different elevation, with the innermost district dug beneath sea level and the outermost district raised above the ground.

Central Sabyn

The oldest district in the city, Central Sabyn makes up the part of the city which was first erected by the Je'er prior to their meeting with the Sil'korunai. The district sits below ground level, which allowed the Je'er to create natural aqueducts which could transport water from Lake Lun'kor to the citizens.

Inner Boroughs

The inner boroughs make up the district between Central Sabyn and the High Echelon.

High Echelon

As its name would imply, the high echelon is the highest district in the city as well as the the outermost district.

Points of interest

The Synodic Conservatory

A large glass-roofed building located on the north end of Sabyn's outer ring, the Synodic Conservatory is the headquarters of the Luminous Seers within the city. The grounds were originally the residence of a Sil'korunai archdruid and his wife, the woman who would later ascend as the goddess Selune. Following her ascension, the Sil'korunai turned their home into a place of worship for their order and over the years their home would be expanded into its current state. The central part of the conservatory is a massive glass dome which houses the Selunite Temple and the Lenticular Thaumoscope, a telescope that allows the conservatory's astronomers to explore the night sky. The wings of the conservatory are used for instruction and research, filled with classrooms, dormitories, laboratories, and libraries filled with astronomical, astrological, and arcane research.
