Zenric's Source explodes out into the Material Plane all around that which is Urgrund. This explosion is the Big Bang which Zenric used create the known universe.

Attempts to study creation by a future scientist named Krona interfered with the moment of creation, shattering what would have been a single universe into a multiverse, as well as a parallel antimatter universe. Tachyons projected by Krona created entropy, evil, and chaos where none would have existed, through all of eternity. In this time entropy was given form by the collapse of what came before, the creature Entropy appeared in that form; caged in The Terminus. The newly divided light and dark aspects of the Multiverse became personified with the creation of the Monitor and the Anti-Monitor, powerful beings of the matter and antimatter universes whose conflict would last until the Modern Era.   Life sprang into the Universe. The first life forms would take hold on what would later become known as Earth. From there, life first took root on the planet Maltus, followed quickly by the planet Cilia, whose lifeforms quickly rose to sentience and then evolve beyond material form to become immortal beings of energy and power. They too were divided in their views on the young universe, and they separated themselves into two groups, the Lords of Order and the Lords of Chaos.
