Architecture
Dunton Mill is a windmill driven by winds blowing in from the The Dragon's Eye Gulf and down from the hills and mountains to the north of Southport. There are two large grindstones within the mill, plus a number of drying racks, and there is a kitchen in which vegetables are washed, sliced, if needed, and pickled. Within the kitchen there is a large wood-fired oven for boiling and preserving fruit and vegetables. Barrels of apple vinegar and boxes of spices produced in Appleton are stacked inside and outside of the mill, as well as salt brought to Dunton from Southport.
