The Ilnar Bog, strangely, is a showcase in beauty during the late summer and early autumn. During that time, luminescent insects gather by the tens of thousands and flash in multi-colored patterns said to bewitch travelers. Otherwise, it is a wetland of little consequence, largely ignored by the Xanthun Empire.
