House of the Three

"Two things to ask in Aemark: 'Where's the Three-House? Where's the bar?" - Visiting (Drunk) Dignitary

Houses of the Three, sometimes referred to as 'Three-Houses,' have become a necessity in the Aemark Kingdom as it expanded over the last centuries. With the warfront moving further and further to the east towards the Kaokut Coalition and Al'Orphic Alliance, the majority of skilled healers moved along with it and left the bulk of the nation without magical healing.   In this time, the Aemark Church filled the void as best as it was able by using its treasury to incentivize new Academy graduates to become creation specialists (or at least learn passing familiarity with it). Those incentives generally included covering a portion, or all, of the student's tuition. For those with a creation attunement, the Church also provided guaranteed employment after military service.   The "Houses" of the Three began as rooms within, or huts near Rundic churches throughout Aemark, which provided basic healing services and magic for the local populace. Over time, the number of the Houses grew and reached its current apex where nearly every notable town has at least one and every city has several if not a dozen. As a side benefit for the Church, the donations made to the Houses almost covers the employment of the healers themselves and the practice increases religious fervor among the general populace.

Tips for the Three

The Church of Ald Yvren provides excellent healing services at no cost to all. However, for those that can afford it, please donate to our mission so that we can continue our good work. Drahkun Aen.   Only the Church has the resources to manage to knock on every door to gather donations for Three-Houses. Still, you should donate, even if their pestering is annoying.
