Gloria Dina Montu Averill

Reverend Mother Gloria Dina Montu- Averill (a.k.a. Lori)

Mental characteristics

Personal history

She was the first infant born in Camp Hope. Part of the reason that the camp was founded was because of the need for a safer place for the raising of children. She lived her entire life in the camp. Never visited other camps and was never in any of the groups that ventured outside of the camp to gather resources or explore. The life in Camp Hope shaped her entire world view.

Gender Identity

Female.
Identifying as the gender you are born is the only logical option given the state of our world.

Sexuality

Heterosexual.
We have no choice but to use our bodies in the same manner that we fashion and use tools. For the body to be at it's best, we need to channel it towards our reproductive goals. It is the only way to ensure that Humanity survives.

Education

She was educated mostly by her father who was serving as the primary teacher for the camp at the time. However, she also benefitted from time in the library and learned a great deal from Racquel Vera Donnelly. All her education was informal and in the moment teaching by the adults in the camp. Given that she was one of only a few children in the camp at the time, she was afforded a lot of attention from the adults. As a young adult, she also learned a great deal from the automatons that run the power plant within the hospital.

Employment

As a child she helped on the farm as this was where her labor was most useful. As she got older, she spent more and more time in the library and eventually took a formal position there as one of Racquel Vera Donnelly's assistants.

Accomplishments & Achievements

She is known as the founder of the Church of Hope and as the first Reverend Mother. After the death of her father, she shifted her focus from record keeping and began to focus on the keeping of her father's ideals.

Morality & Philosophy

Her father's obession with returning the world to the way that things were in the Time Before shaped her mind greatly. Everything in this life was not to be enjoyed but rather endured until the true life could be achieved. For her, the Time Before was seen rather like an after life or Heaven.
