Dr. Adrian Royce doesn’t bother to hide his skepticism as he eyes you from behind his cluttered desk, his fingers drumming idly against a stack of neatly organized patient reports. His office is dimly lit, the overhead light casting sharp shadows across his sharp features. "I assume you’re here about the missing test subject," he says, his voice clipped, measured. "I’ll tell you what I told the Watch—I don’t know where it went, but I know Dr. Vasquez has been acting... strangely." He leans forward, lowering his voice slightly. "She’s been spending an awful lot of time with Subject 17. More than she should. That test subject wasn’t even part of her assigned research. And then there’s the matter of supplies going missing." He pauses, watching your reaction before continuing. "I’ve seen her coming and going at odd hours. Taking things home with her. Technically not against protocol, but highly unusual. I don’t like it."

His eyes narrow as he leans back, arms folding across his chest. "And here’s where it gets really interesting—Jonas wasn’t just another infected. Someone experimented on him before he turned. He’s different. Maybe she knew that, maybe she didn’t, but either way, she was up to something. Now, I could take this straight to the board, but I have a feeling you’re going to tell me why I shouldn’t." The unspoken challenge lingers between you—convince him Vasquez’s actions are justified, or risk him exposing everything.
