The Gnomish Free States
Hidden by the Azure Sea, the Gnomish Free State is a loosely governed collection of islands, home to gnomes and the world's war forged.
Geography
Visually, think pastoral, steampunk-y mini England or Wales. The isles are lush, and green, filled with many sheer white stone bluffs. The interior of the islands skew very hilly, boarding on mountainous. The shores are often steep bluffs, and there are intricate solutions built around ports and bringing things inland. The forests haven't seen much in the ways of industrial logging, so they tend to be deep, rich, and dark.
Most areas are originally sized for halflings, but public areas and many shops have been retrofitted, so that at least half of the areas support forged sized people.
