he Astronomer is the observer of the night sky; the one who represents the wise, the quiet and the introspective. He sees the tapestries of that which has come before and that which is fated to lay beyond the horizon, shining a light on revelations for those who are thoughtful enough to find them. He is the patron god of diviners, wizards and students, and oversees the weaves of prophecy for The Avanís Pantheon. People call on the Astronomer for guidance, when making a difficult decision, praying for a good outcome, or when looking up towards the stars. The Astronomer is said to often walk the world, appearing inconspicuously as an old sage or wiser man. Tales of the Astronomer giving his closest followers the gift of foresight or prolonged life are ripe, however few have claimed to be the recipient of these powers. Ser Archimedazaen III, leader of the Conclave of the Fifth is rumoured to be one such beneficiary. There is a huge monument at Dol Gadmen that overshadows the city, built by the once great Kingdom of Eá-galwen. It is said that the kings of the Wayland line often looked to the Astronomer for guidance and clarity. The Astronomer has a close relationship with many of the younger gods in the Pantheon - particularly with Death and The Spell Thief. He opposes Avlar in all forms.
