lunderer of knowledge and the slipperiest of scoundrels. The Thief delights in both the obtaining and brokering of information, electing to sell the secrets of this world to the highest bidder - or the most worthy. She is not interested in material wealth however, electing to spread and share her hauls to the masses wherever possible.
As secrets of the world are uncovered and shared, the world is born anew in her eyes. Her followers delight in the moments of truth and clarity, allowing them to dive into the origins of a mystery to help unlock other puzzles and enigmas in this world.
Of all the Gods in the Avanís Pantheon, The Spell Thief is the one that is most often seen interacting with mortals, usually enjoying the simple pleasures of life. Bards sing of her rabble-rousing in local taverns, however she is most notorious for her offbeat encounters along the high roads or in the darkest chamber of perilous dungeons.
Her pursuit of knowledge is prized by spellcasters, thieves and archaeologists alike. She is particularly worshipped in moments where truth prevails - a jealous spouse, an emissary's visit or in a noble's court.
In the darker corners of the world, the Empire's thieves might herald this deity as a good luck charm before a heist or steal, a tomb raider might scream her name while running away from a boulder trap, or a lecher might make a tongue-in-cheek comment citing the Scoundrel as their muse. Wallsend is a particularly unscrupulous locale which heavily worships the young Spell Thief.
The Astronomer is a good friend and mentor to the young thief, sharing his knowledge of whats to come to help get her out of trouble. The Arbiter, who is neutral in all matters of the Gods, seems to also have a soft spot for her free spirited ways.
