Manannán
he hero of the Mere, Manannán is the most storied living fighter amongst the Freemen of the Unbound Lands and is the leader of Clan Scáthach, which inhabit the Vale of Cwydd. Manannán gained renown during the conflict seen in recent decades between the Northmen and the Empire. Seeing the indiscrimante pillaging and rape wrought upon the coastal communities of the Empire by The Twin's Chosen and her followers, Clan Fury, Manannán chose to fight alongside the Empire against his kinsmen. After two full decades of brutal skirmishing, both at sea and on land, the fighting ended. Clan Fury were banished to the Rhakhis, far from the sea, and Clan Scáthach has flourished since. Since this conflict commerce and relations with the city of Dol Gadmen has bloomed, with traders freely flowing along the High Road linking the Vale to the Shimmering City of the Empire. The Rosewall has become a thriving hub for merchants in this economic boom. When the Conclave of the Fifth of Dol Gadmen treat with the Northmen regarding events occuring in the Unbound Lands, it is Manannán that they speak to first.
