Ambermere

This large harbour sits outside the city of Aegis Meer in the Unbound Lands, and is surrounded by countless small islands that are inhabited by the boatsmen clans of the north.
The bay is named such for its incredible sunsets, which turn the whole area an orange-gold and reflect light onto the peaks of the island and buildings surrounding the bay. At certain times of the year, a phenomena known as "The Staircase to the Moon" occurs, where an orange-tinted moon rises in the East and reflects of the endless waves within the bay, creating golden horizontal lines along the water.
Boats innumerable sit in the shelter of the bay, most used for hunting or fishing. Other larger vessels lined with shields of various colours stand poised, as the Northmen make up the fiercest fighters to travel the seas of Daënfel.
Two decades ago, a great naval battle took place within the Mere, as the Empire beat back the Clans that had united with the Twin's Chosen and had been raiding down the coast of the Steppe.
