...test her...

"Yes great devourer."

...push her...

"By your command."

...befriend her but do not be a friend to her...

"I am but your tool for the task, I need nothing but your hand to guide me."

...this is your last task. If you succeed, you shall gain my full boon and will see their faces wither before you...

The flame crackled on last time before extinguishing. The woman took the hood from her head, the cloth catching momentarily from her one ear. She instinctively drew her hands over her head, her fingers expecting her hair, even after this time. Instead, it caught only patches. Her left side scarred and warped, the tip of her ear snipped away.

In the dying light of the sun, the reflection of the last rays was beautiful and calming. It glinted yellow off the small pond, but a beautiful crimson in the pools of blood that slowly reached down toward the fresh water. The woman turned, gave a couple low clicks, and held her hand out.

A small creature, blurry and inky like a shadow, ran up from the throat of one of the dead men on the ground. It lept up and the woman caught it, lifting it up to her shoulders. It began purring as it laid down, the body drapping around her entire shoulder length. Two tendrils wrapped around her neck in a gentle hold as the beast nuzzled her.

"Gorg, we are done," she called out, her worg lifting its head from the bowels of the horse it was consuming. It snorted, walking through the wreckage of the merchant caravaan to her. She carefully climbed up onto the saddle that covered her mounts back. "We seek an aasimar now. A prophet is to fall, and we are to guide."

Her mount snorted, a low series of grumbles came from its throat as it started to move forward, leaving the carnage of the scene behind.

"I don't know and don't care. This will be the last of ours together. What you do afterwards will be your concern. Gavathrak will grant me my final request and I will finally be at peace."

A Divine Message

Rishmael found himself waking up in a natural hot-spring. He last recalled being struck by lightning in the ruins near Skad. It was mystical and surreal, with strange animals all around. Before his bearing could be found, a hand reached around him with a plate of pastries. A feminine voice whispered i his ear, telling him this is all real and that he should try one of the snacks. He gladly does, taking a bite as the figure walks past him, stepping into the pool.   Her dish disappears and Ish'squeal sees the figure before him as hard to understand. While feminine, she seems to be composed of all races and none at the same time. She exuded power. Before he could question it, she answers him that, yes, she is his goddess, Bom.   Ishma'll can only laugh at this, prompting her to ask if he's comfortable. She slides up to him, giving him a massage momentarily, whispering that she had enjoyed the show that his life has been. Bom asks him several questions, asking what he ultimately wants. His goals are simple; to kill the smiling pirate. She likes this answer, continuing to massage his shoulders, before violently turning around and choking him, screaming that he WILL kill the pirate.   She settles down, then pulls out a key that appears to be made of thick, black veins. Whispering to him, she tells him that he will know which door it will be used on, but he has to be willing to pay the price to do so. The key is pressed into his forearm, and she smiles at him for a moment. Without warning, she shoves her hands into his chest, ripping it open and causing psychic damage to him as she screams not to fail. His vision fades out.

Time to Kill; Potions to Find

Embra and Victalyassa leave the Cobalt Shield's Guildhall and approach Ashara. They inform her that they have tickets for the morning to get back to Valtaska, so they can look for the potion shop they are sure is in town. Victalyassa say's she'll ask in the local bars, leaving Ashara and Embra to head deeper into the city. When they reach the Glyph District, Embra splits off, leaving her friend to search the whole district for the shop while she heads towards The Fallen District. Before departing, they agree to meet in a couple of hours with what they've found.   Having found her bar of choice, Victalyassa immediately orders a shot of their strongest drink, known as "The Shatter". She downs it and asks about shady potion shops. The bartender tells her to look in the Reclamation District if she's looking for shady business. Trying to ensure she has proper leads, she takes another drink and approaches the only lone person in the bar. She tries to ask him, but the man is too distraught and angry, turning her away without any proper answers. She takes her losses and heads out.   Taking only a few minutes, Ashara sees a shop labeled "Alchemicals and Potions Galore!" and heads inside. The Gemling man behind the counter is jovial, but Ashara quickly shuts his demeanor down through intimidation. Pulling out the empty potion bottle they had taken from the ruins, she asks him where she can find more of these. The man says it's one of Iosha's, but she would be better off buying something from her. Not wanting any of it, she simply asks directions, getting them with a huff of disappointment. Not finished, Ashara then pulls out the statue of Ish'Stone'Meal, asking if he knows something. They go back and forth, Ashara threatening that he better not be holding anything back, but he genuinely knows nothing. Satisfied, Ashara thanks him with one of her Kaminic Needles.   A sudden bright light, like a lightning blast, shines out from the statue just as Ashara was planning on collecting it. When it dims once more, Wish'meal was back in full form, standing on the desk and facing the retailer. Ashara, excited to see him, explains that he had been gone for months (though it had been less than a full day). Turning to the gemling once more, she asks if they can get some health potions for her clearly hurt friend. The man is speechless, simply pointing to the shelf they are on.   Squish'meal, thankful, grabs one of the potions, drinking it, then pulls as many off the shelf as his arms can hold. Not liking the thievery, Ashara tells him they shouldn't take them, but Ish'nill insists they man is offering them. He quickly departs, dropping several from his arms as they head out, Ashara joining quickly, her tail accidentally flicking a shelf and knocking more over. They head back towards the Topaz Courts to meet up with Embra and Victalyassa.   As Embra wanders past the Glyph District towards The Fallen District, she stops a merchant walking by and asks if there are any potion shops within the deadlands. He informs her that no shop exists in any of the deadlands except maybe a few wandering scoundrels. If she wants potions, she is better off checking out the Glyph District or a one in the Western Waters right off this street, Iosha's Potion Shop, if she's looking for a cheaper potions. Not knowing Iosha's was the one she was looking for, she walked into the Glyph District. Luckily, the shop the walked in knew of Iosha and her potions. The saleman gave her directions, but advised her not to go. She thanked him and left, hoping to return to the others quickly.   Back with the others, Ashara and Pixie'meal continued north when they run into Victalyassa, who is completely drunk and wandering from her multiple shots. Ashara had been catching up his now-returned friend on their many exploits over the several months he had convinced him that he'd been gone. She continued this tale, including how they had "saved" the people imprisoned in the basement when they finally did catch up to Victal. The marleek woman was excited that the Ishmael-statue was talking. They turn and return to their wagon, waiting for Embra to meet up with them.   Once everyone is reunited, they went in length with one another, mostly casual teasing while Victalyassa was still drunk, before losing track of Victal as she wandered off into a bar and night club. The group chase her down, but not before she ordered up four shots for the group. Everyone takes a shot, except Ashara, but the strength of the drink, and lack of a full meal in the stomachs quickly drops everyone down to Victalyassa's level, leaving Ashara to watch them until their strong constitutions could wear off the alcohol within the couple hour.s   Once sober, they make their way to Iosha's Potion Shop on the edge of the Western Waters. The evening has gotten late, with many of the shops already closed up. Ioshas, they see, is one of them. Finding the front door locked, Ashara kicks it open, Embra watching to ensure they aren't drawing any unwanted attention. Inside, they see the shop had been properly locked up, with only the low-end potions still out for display. Though dark, the group can see with their enhanced vision, but they prefer to be able to see full details. Embra finds a candle and get it started with Ashara's tail.   They start exploring, splitting into groups of twos. Embra and Sneaks'fufilled check out a side room, finding it leading to the upper floor, then turn to a heavily reinforced door with a complex lock on it, some form of magic involved over it. Embra doesn't want to try picking the lock, thinking it may be trapped. She isn't sure if she could pick the lock and didn't want to risk it. Ish'screw-it'meal takes his dagger out and begins working on it. Embra, frustrated by this, walks off.   On the other side of the store, Ashara and Victalyassa find another door heading to the back. It's locked, though simply so. Victal pulls out her crowbar and, with the help of Ashara, pop it open. Inside, they find a room dedicated to brewing the various potions lining the main shop. In the back is a large chest and a side closet, both locked. Though Victalyassa sees the glint of treasure in her eyes, attempting to open the larger wall-chest, Ashara is more intrigued by another heavily reinforced door. She can see the faint aura of magic on it, but isn't sure what it is.   A loud thump draws everyone's attention, though Ashara is less moved by the noise. The others turn to find Trips'trap'meal asleep on the ground. Luckily, Embra is there to quickly wake him.   Then the session ends...Ish'meal waking slowly on the floor.
