Ashara

A runeseeker aasimar who was orphaned on the streets of Benira. Her past is a mystery to her, as well as her purpose, but she finds peace in the careful deconstruction of the world, and sometimes the reckless destruction of it. A follower of Gavathrak of the Teeth, she feels an unusually close tie to the god compared to any that have followed him before.

Personal History

Little is known about Ashara's past. What she does let out, mostly through sideways comments and curt remarks, hint at a dark past. Her companions know she grew up on the streets of Benira, but not what led her to be there. They know nothing of her family or how she came about her burning runes. Even the insistence that she is not a tiefling is strange.
Though she exists as something of an enigma, a somewhat violent one, she is trustworthy with her companions. Though she has always preferred to take the solo tasks, when she has worked with her companions, she's proven she is loyal and trustworthy. Time and time again, she has stepped in harms way for her companions, taking harsh blows. These moments of altruism may be the very thing that ties her companions to her, overlooking the wrath that they know is always boiling in her soul.

Runic Powers

How these powers came to be are mysterious. Ashara has admitted she doesn't know where they come from, but they know she has studied them extensively. Every few months, she seems to have unlocked more secrets, uncovering runes that she can trace into spells. Only time will tell if she ever uncovers the truth etched onto her skin.

New Companions, New Start

Ashara met Drosko a few years prior, gaining a semblance of trust for the dwarf, something she thought would never happen again. When she received her letter from him, she saw it as a chance to start fresh, but even more importantly, to have a unique set of tools, in the forms of a guildmates and reputation, that she could use to further her inner goals.
Though often taking solo jobs, she has shown no hesitation to taking bigger mission that have put her alongside the other members of the guild. She's gained respect and trust with them. Her keen mind and sharp blade have proven effective on missions, making even the most lethal situations easy to handle. Even her wrath is valued, having been used to finish challenging tasks, such as the Demonic Fell Spider of Ridav.
Recently, she has been put on what may prove to be the biggest mission the guild has performed. Asked to investigate a strange cult and search for the missing Inquisitor to the High King of Valtaska, she has joined her companions on a journey to the west, seeking to find the answers...and eradicate any blasphemy against her soul's benefactor.
