Personal history

Ildemin was born the child of a Dili-Thin father and a Fili-Thin mother under the Scandinavian Mountains. Living far beneath a Qealin settlement, Ilde was no stranger to the tales told about her kind by those who lived above her. She was told fom a young age that her people lived in the dark thanks to curses put upon them by the sun, and so grew with a great curiosity towards the outside world and the sun that had apparently cursed them.   When The Uprising hit, news from the outside came in trickles and whispers that Ilde listened intently to, hungry for every scrap of information she could get. By the time she reached her Da Ifsin she knew she wanted to find a way to elevate her people; to raise them above what they had been forced to remain, no matter how stubborn the nature of the Thin was. Without much thought nor consultation of her elders, she packed up her things and left to explore the world, seeking to understand their place in it.   The world was in chaos. The Uprising had devestated cities and countries all over the world and Ilde wandered aimlessly from conflict to conflict, learning what she could about the world outside and trying to stay out of trouble. Along the way she learned the High Elves were the *only* people with stories about her kind involving a curse, the rest believing simply that they were reclusive or going along with The Elven Council's insistence that they remain ignorant. Stubbornly, Ildemin performed her own dedication ritual to a new Goddess - Mahsa, Lady of the Eternal Dark That Blankets All - and vowed to never disown the dark again.   The night after her self-initiation ritual, Ildemin fell into a deep trancelike sleep. Muddled visions came to her: flashing images of floodwater and fear, and when she awoke her goal had changed. Something tugged her eastward, to the Beijing Underground City where the hub of Dili-Thin settled. She told them where she came from; told them of the visions she had. They were skeptical at first but, as she had done them no wrong, they gave her bed and board.   When the Underground flooded and many fell sick and died, Ildemin was recognised as a Seer -- given visions by the Gods and destined to become the Priestess-of-the-Years; a responsibility she took gladly. Though her journey was over, she knew she had been sent here for a reason, and dedicated her leadership to molding and shaping the mischievous young who were sent to her, in the hopes she could influence a new generation of young to make the lives of the Thin better piece by piece.

Gender Identity

Ildemin came into her identity as a female shortly before her naming ritual, and took on the pronouns and identity during said ritual. Her identity is intrinsically tied these days to her role as Priestess, believing her Goddess chose her for this task long ago.

Sexuality

Though sexuality is a largely irrelevant concept in Thin society, Ilde has admitted romantic preference to those who also identify as female and pictures herself being in such a relationship if she ever meets someone suitable. That said, romance is largely secondary to her role as Priestess and is something she leaves in the Gods' hands.

Mental Trauma

Ildemin has frequently stated that the High Elven treatment of her people has left a scar on her mind; being told she and her entire race were cursed from a young age has given her a complex of believing herself to be personally cursed. During her journeys across Europe she witnessed a lot of violence, poverty and danger and is frequently plagued by nightmares.
