Qealin High Elves

The Qealin (IPA: /qælin/, common name High Elves) were the first to bring the Uprising upon humanity, and hold the highest seats in The Elven Council. They reside in major cities and primarily rely on their strong magic and excellent metalwork to carry and convey their strength. Besides Dark Elves, they are the most prepared for any kind of battle as their weaponry and armour is of an extremely high grade -- as such, they were more than capable of pushing back The Cleansed forces and were partly responsible for much of the carnage.
Their position on the Elven Council is extremely polarising thanks to the power they hold over the other elven races, but one thing is for certain: they are formidable, powerful, and will not rest until their people are of equal standing to humanity, no matter what that may take.

Basic Information

Anatomy

High Elves have sharp, strong facial features with high cheekbones and sharp jawlines. They are generally taller than most, and their eyes are narrow, slanted, or generally small. Their noses are often pointed or hooked, and their ears are long and often curved. Their hair is usually shades of blond or rich browns. Their skin is thick and hardy, and usually ranges from a yellowish tone to soft, dark browns, often dotted with flecks of gold or a shimmering complexion.

Ecology and Habitats

Quealin are found worldwide, mainly in mountainous regions and areas rich in sunlight. Due to their advanced biology they are able to survive in harsh environments such as deserts, though they prefer to remain near civilisation for the sake of trading and relations. The richest of their kind live in cities cloaked by magic, usually in uninhabitable areas, and others live in smaller cloaked towns or mountain homes.

Civilization and Culture

Common Dress Code

The High Elves are a rich, noble race, and as such their attire is bright and well-crafted, usually in stereotypically ‘regal’ colours such as red, purple and gold. They often adorn themselves with flowers, ceremonial face paints and gold chains, and their piercings are usually also gold and minimal.
