Dili-Thin

Dili-Thin is the name for the community of Eastern Dark Elves who reside primarily in Eastern Europe and Asia.

Culture and cultural heritage

The origin of Dili-Thin has become blurred over time, but is generally agreed to have been a combination of naturally-forming elves already present and a large number of travelling Fili-Thin from the original formations of Thin civilisation. As such, the culture and most other Thin cultures share much with their Northern ancestors, creating the common thread of community and information seen in wider Thin culture.

Shared customary codes and values

The Dili-Thin value hard work and community contribution perhaps more strongly than any other Thin ethnicity, perhaps due to the cultural influence from their human neighbours but largely due to the difficulties experienced by the main bulk of Eastern Dark Elves within the Beijing Underground City. Due to the largely eco-industrial surface city of Beijing largely ignoring the Thin population within their city and the difficulty of travel between more Uprising-ravaged but fae-heavy locations, Eastern Dark Elves have been largely forced to fend for themselves in their small societies throughout Asia. Young Thin are expected to choose a profession quickly and will be expected to think about what they are called to do from the moment their Da Ifsin is performed, and those who do not have a productive profession are considered to be lazy and unmotivated to the wellfare of the community. Punishment for mischievous young Thin in Dili-Thin culture usually involves public service of some kind, often cleaning duties supervised by the Priestess-of-the-Years.
