Inkoris

The southern ley line hotspot is located in the city of Inkoris. The city is known for its tropical aesthetics and tall buildings suspended in the air via magic conduits connected to the ley line. Here it is not uncommon to live hundreds of feet up in the air and as such there are quite a few casualties due to people falling off the rope bridges after they’ve had a few drinks too many. People around here are generally quite well off, and this is reflected in the price of mana crystals that often go for over 100 gold pieces. The monopoly on mana crystals by Old Dwarf inc. doesn’t help with lowering the prices either and as such the production of artificial crystals are at an all time high.   Noteworthy establishments in the city Magic Shops Kaeli Arcane Emporium: Renown for their ability to transport goods to most corners of the city through magic, this shop is split into 3 different buildings at the top of the city close to the hotspot. The buildings all have a dark oak and gold aesthetic with purple silks hanging from the roof. The shops three buildings sell potions, magical items, and enchants existing items. The owner of Kaeli Arcane Emporium is an elven woman named Eswana Kaeli. The shop was founded by her father at the end of the war.   Groshden Magica: The "common man's magic shop". It is run by a very friendly orc named Ormash Groshden and the shop has been in the family since before the war. It used to be a traveling merchant, but they decided to settle down after the war ended. The shop is a pretty large wooden building by the docks. When one first enters they are met with a café in which many dock workers often go during their breaks. There is a door on the right side of the counter that leads to the magic shop where one can find all manner of things that can assist in one's daily life.   Arwies: A magic shop with an owner that many claim is immortal. The shop is really just a big house that has been rebuilt so that half of it serves as a shop and the closed of parts are assumed to either be a regular house, or some form of life prolonging chamber. Arwie Quickfoot is the name of the owner and he is always happy to talk about things that happened in the past over a cup of tea.   Xerxius Arcana: A shop that appeared seemingly out of nowhere. The interior and exterior is decorated with multiple stained glass panels and large floating gems. Most of the products here serve an aesthetic purpose and the owner is a changeling that is always willing to show customers how a product would look on them.   Mel Magic: A relatively new magic shop run by an axolotl folk woman named Mel Blossom. The interior lacks windows and all the walls are made out of wood that have been painted with different calm motifs. There hangs multiple glowing crystals from the ceiling. The main sort of products sold here are of the healing kind, be it for the mind or the body. Industrial District Pan Troglodyte Storage: a large building that has some office spaces and a massive warehouse where the cans are stored. Inns Krakens Lair: A rebuilt underwater cave that is located about a 15 minute walk north from the harbour. Towards the ocean there are magical bariers that allow people to enter and exit as they please, but no water can pass through. For those that do not want to get their belongings wet, there is also a stairway down. The interior is made out of carved rocks that are made to resemble different oceanic creatures and the place is lit up with magical fireplaces that don't produce any smoke. The prices here are a bit higher than average and a room costs 2 gp/day. Main workers are Qienna Wraith and Arstof Thernox   The Bronze Dragon: An inn that have been in the city since it was founded. This place is filled with people from all walks of life due to its affordable, yet luxurious feel. The only decoration that really stands out is a large wooden sculpture depicting a bronze dragon that stands in the middle of the room that one first enters. Prices here are average and a nights rest costs 9 sp. Main workers here are Valdeem Doragon and Alxei Faeblood.   Simasi Treehouse: A large treehouse that have built at the top of a massive oak. The workers here consists mainly of Simasi, Dryads, and Satyrs. They serve mostly vegetarian food, save for a few meals that contain insects cooked in different ways. The prices are slightly above average and a room usually cost around 15 sp/day. You will often find Haldine or Zan behind the counter.   Sky Temple: A place that was initially made to mock the gods that turned their backs on the people during the war, this place was a massive success and has since become a place to which many bards go to perform. Here one can find many forms of entertainment since they started to allow most forms of performances after people got tired of hearing the same jokes about gods. The place has a very greek-esque aesthetic. Prices here are higher than usual, but bards that perform here every now and then usually get a discount. Rooms cost 3 gp/day. The main staff behind the counter are usually Linazio Fernus and Gael Infernus.   Waterfront Estate: A large log cabin with many smaller ones strewn about nearby. The main building is where one would order their food and have a drink with friends before retreating back to the safe confines of one's own cabin. Prices here are a out average and the cabins are rented weekly with a price of 6-13 gp/week depending on the size of the cabin. The usual suspects found behind the counter are Sam Kerwhin and Eliah Archer.   Our Last Stand: A war inspired inn that have been decorated with numerous objects from the war. Here one can look at all manner of things that hold some form of historical importance and some that are just meant to look like things that got lost in the war. There aren't many people here during the evening that don't have an almost unhealthy obsession with all things related to combat. Among the regular staff one can often find Uldr Makoi and Tania Bruntwick.   Streetrat Retreat: This inn is somewhat hidden from the public and serves as a meeting place for many lower citizens. The inn's main room consists of multiple booths, in which people can talk business and a mostly open middle section where people can come together. The prices here are pretty cheap and a room often goes for 8sp/day or less. The main workers here are Sora Helion and Dinuir Urvath.   Platina Palmtops: A massive open terrace with magically altered palm trees planted at every table. The palm trees light up once it gets dark out, and in the day they appear to have a platinum sheen to them. If one wants to rest the night, there are multiple rooms for hire beneath the terrace that have all been supplied with sound dampening magic so that one can always get a good nights rest, no matter how noisy the city is. Prices here are significantly higher than average and a room goes for something between 5-14 gp/day depending on the season and what room one wants. The bar is often manned by Helmund Valderian and Zara Gelthiit. Misc Good Standard Miscellaneous Goods (General Trader that will buy and sell most things): A very chaotic looking shop with all manner of things strewn about. The owner is called Cisthe Uthnae.   Chromatic Dragon General (General Goods): A very robust-looking building made out of stone and wood. On the inside one can find neatly organised rows filled with most things one could use in everyday life. The owner is called Paulo Scuttler.   Seluchins Wave (Fine Restaurant by the oceanside): Is on a massive tradeship that lays at the dock in Inkoris. The staff all wear sailor uniforms and most of the food is somehow related to the sea. One can usually find Anhe Stormborn or Cerilo Farey behind the bar.   Tausziz Branch (Higher End Trader that can be found in all the ley line cities): As with all shops in the Tausziz Branch franchise, this one also have a dark blue color scheme and magical fixtures attached to the walls so that it looks like crackles of lightning are traveling along them. The owner of the shop in Inkoris is called Harold Terilon.   Bahamut Collection (Collector of all things related to dragons): To no one's surprise, this place is filled with draconic bones and paintings of dragons, but it also have multiple objects that seem very normal. The "normal" objects are said to have been part of the hordes of mighty dragons. The owner of the shop is an orc named Thon Jhiko.
