The Beyond

The Beyond is the realm above the Overworld, in direct view of each other but divided by an unseen, uncrossable barrier Overworlders call The Height Limit.
The Beyond is the afterlife for all souls, most commonly of humanoids. The spirits are bright stars against the infinite darkness that makes up The Beyond, and the groupings of spirits as they flock to each other make constellations.
The Beyond is ruled by the goddess Death, and is almost entirely populated by the dead. The exceptions to this are the Dragon from Beyond, a creature that devours forgotten souls, and those that lie in Limbo-General.
