CD Issue 4: Warehouse Warfare Report

General Summary

Fresh from their victory over The Brute Squad , the Dissidents spend a moment to catch their breath and discuss what to do with their prisoner, the thug named Blunt. Needing quick answers, they interrogate him and find that The Chemist had sent the three to end the annoyance of the Dissidents once and for all. However, at the mere mention of Knightfall, the criminal rolls on his friends and points the heroes at The Trust base on the Far Docks.   Our heroes make a quick stop at the Panopticon to drop the criminal with the Yellowjackets, specifically with Sgt LeBeau who is more than happy to book the crook, and misspell the teams name on the record.   Arriving at the warehouse, the team finds it surrounded by their favorite private security team, KOS (last seen in Issue 1: Convoy Conundrum Report) Malware quickly scouts the area, releasing a fierce EMP to disable the troops armor, followed by the rest of the team slamming the troops into unconsciousness. Siren sneaks the time via portal. But Malware's scan missed something, and the heroes are ambushed by a hidden security tank inside.   The missile blast unleashes chaos on the team as they lose control of their powers. Paladins armor expands violently, breaking the roof of the warehouse. Sirens scream shatters glass for miles around. Aliena shoots out of the warehouse like a champagne bottle cork into the sea. Malware is the only one who keeps it somewhat together, scrambling away to take cover.   Fortunately, they get it together, with Siren chopping the legs out from underneath the robotic monstrosity and Paladin body slamming into submission. In the next room they find The Chemist, in tears over his experiment being accidentally wrecked by Sirens scream. Paladin punched him out, and Aliena rejoined the team.   Suddenly, out of the sky a Yellowjacket assault bunker drops through the roof, descending via wire from a Zeppelin above. Out of it comes the TCSF assault team, backed by the Terminal City Adjutant General herself, Triss Salinger. Paladin recognizes her as his former teammate, known as Kid Courageous, now all grown up. There are hugs and tears, and Triss tells her old friend that she might have a way for him to return to his own time! Richie says he will think about it.   As the TCSF cleans up the mess our heroes made, a tiny reporter sneaks into the warehouse for an interview. Jenny St George, cub reporter for the Terminal City Times, gets a quick interview and the heroes get a chance to pose for the camera in epic style. Victory!
