Core Lore

Welcome to the surface of Corive's Lore. I've fallen into the unfortunate habit of Worldbuilder's Disease, so my sorting between Core Lore and Deep Lore is an attempt to help me focus on the Core Lore so I have a solid foundation before diving back into Deep Lore.

Core Lore is intended as the "most important information" for Corive, and I write Deep Lore with the assumption that readers are familiar with a good chunk of the related Core Lore to that article. This is also the lore that I feel is most important to having Corive be Corive. I can reference Deep Lore, but I try to keep those references short in my Core Lore articles.

Part of why there is this new separation is because I haven't decided if I ever want to market Corive as a playable setting for others to use in their campaigns, use Corive as a writing base while also running my own games, or keep Corive to myself as my own campaign setting and worldbuilding project. I do, however, know that if a world is huge (and Corive is over 800 articles at my last check-in {March 2022}) new readers can get very, very lost.

As I continue this process, I plan to put content in regards to my campaign into the Campaign Lore Consumer's access list, Deep Lore into the Deep Lore Consumers access list, and clean up my Core Lore. You may find content "vanishing" as I put them into subscriber containers or locked behind subscriber access, but I will leave my Challenge Entries public (and intact, though likely also expanded), and their Deep Lore or Campaign Lore will also be public.

Welcome to Corive, and I invite you to consume the Deep or Campaign lore, but if you're not sure for now, have at the Core Lore. I'll be working on it as I go through, and I'll see you around!
