Princess Vellera Marina Althor Sarvis (a.k.a. The Raven)
Pellnar’s oldest daughter and his chief enforcer. She is tall, pale-skinned with long black hair and sharp features with her dark eyes appearing almost black. Vellera seeks to present an intimidating appearance. Typically, she dresses in a close fitting bodice and breeches of black leather. To build on her menacing appearance she accessorizes with elbow-length gloves and thigh high boots of gleaming black leather. She wears a leather belt supporting a whip and a long fighting knife. Her cloak is made from black velvet with a red lining. Vellera is skilled with dark magic, but also is keen on the use of poison. A sadist, she particularly enjoys using her whip both to punish and interrogate.
Vellera will ruthlessly hunt down her father’s enemies. She is typically accompanied by her thirteen strong personal guard known as the Crown’s Hammer. These warriors wear matching plate armor of gleaming silver and green cloaks.

Vellera benefitted from excellent tutors in areas ranging from mathmatics, to magic, to weapons handling. Brillant and talented she has excelled at most any field that has caught her interest.
Vellera functions a her father's chief fixer. She eliminates the disloyal, typically in a way that will make a very public and terrifying example. The nobility and wealthy merchants of the kingdom all dread the day that Vellera and the Hammers will show up at their door. She is known for carrying out spectacular and horriying executions including boiling alive, defenestration from a high tower, flaying alive and drawn out public torture. Vellera finds time to handle her own personal vendettas. She is currently preoccupied with the problem of the Man of Iron, who her father has identified as one of the greatest threats to his family's rule.
Never underestimate terror as a weapon. When you need to destroy someone make sure it teaches others not to cross you. Reward those who show unquestioning loyalty, because they are valuable tools and should know their mistress sees their worth.
Personality Characteristics
To defend her family's power while humiliating and destroying its enemies.
Has a personal hatred of the Khanna sect and has tortured to death a number of witches.
Sadist, she revels in the suffering of others. She is also greedy, if she can find a good excuse to take someone's property or demand a bribe expect her to do so.
She's very clean, likes to coat her nails with black lacquer.

Acts as the commander of the Crown's Hammer and has the authority to use the royal guard and court magicians to support her missions.
As a prominent member of Tarrel royal family, she is counts a number of the Kingdom's important noble families as kin. She is well known to be the King's favorite daughter and confidant. She is very loyal to the members of her immediate family and expects them to return that loyalty. She has never forgiven her sister Gallia for her affair with Kellios, Vellera feels that her sister disgraced her family by her involvement with a man of non-noble pedigree and by her disobedience to the King.
Vellera is a worshipper of Asmore and has allowed the cult to establish a covert temple in Baronna, a town that is part of her personnel fiefdom.
She is extremely comfortable and confident when surrounded by people of the upper classes and will happily engage them in intellectually stimulating conversation. With lesser folk she lets her aura of confidence, power and menace roll over them usually winning her instant fear and obedience.
The Princess is usually accompanies by two huge wolf dogs which are her vicious and loyal guardians.
Her style is very refined and usually is accompanied by a carefully cultivated aura of menace.

History
When Gallia was a teenager and Vellera was a young woman they had a fairly close relationship. Vellera was solicitious and protective of her younger sister. Once Gallia's affair with Kellios was discovered Vellera took the command of the situation and turned her rage on the couple. Leading the Crown's hammer she arrested Kellios and dragged him back to her father for punishment. Taking the oportunity to torture Kellios in front of Gallia before turning him over to her father. She than managed Gallia's forced abortion and imprisonment.
The princess is very wealthy, she keeps a significant portion of the estates of the King's enemies when she seizes them.
