Asador en Tayos

Asador en Tayos – This the baronial of seat of Eressa kar Asador, Baroness of Asador. This small town has a population of 1,200 and features a small riverside castle. The town is fortified with a 12’ stone wall with fighting platforms and towers at the corners. The town’s main industries are leather and iron work. Cartloads of iron ore are brought to the town by wagon from Perrin where the ore is mined. Asador has three inns near the waterfront and a sturdy stone wharf that serves the river’s barge traffic.

Demographics

The vast majority of the population is Northron human with many working in the iron trade, forestry, and the river trade. The local elite tends to be Corgerian and a Dark Corgerian , merchant clan of some 20 members resides in town.

Defences

The town has a 12' high stone wall with towers at the corners, gate houses at the northern and southern edge of town and a 5' deep water filled moat that connects to the Tayos River at either end.

Industry & Trade

The iron industry is central to the town's economic life. The foundry at the southern edge of town on the Tayos River makes iron ingots for export and consume copious quantities of coal to feed it furnaces. A dockside lumber market sells forest products to be shipped down river.
