The List of Approved Gods is divided into articles and subsections. The Articles notate various laws passed by the Government, and the subsections notate addendums, additions, or additions made later that are relevant to that law.

Defines the Legal Laws and Regulations of Religion within The Eastern Imperium under the authority of its God-Queen, Tamamo-No-Mae, The Kitsune Queen.

Historical Details

Background

The Imperial List of Approved Gods was created, signed, and ratified into law to mark The Establishment of The Eastern Imperium at the end of The Unification War, when Tamamo-No-Mae, The Kitsune Queen led her armies and won against the last of the threats plaguing the land. Creating this document and founding The Eastern Imperium upon the ashes and subjugated people she had conquered in the war as well as the allies she made along the way, Tamamo's ascension to God-Queen and the existing of The Imperium itself is marked by the creation of this document, which was said to be a decree by Tamamo to ensure her new empire would not fall to faiths and religious of gods she considered "Seditious", or those that would naturally stir up trouble and cause issue within her new empire. Contrary to popular belief, it was not borne out of a desire for her to protect her status as the patron "Goddess" of her empire.

History

The Imperial List of Approved Gods was borne from the chaos of The Unification War, and its creation marked the founding of The Eastern Imperium and Tamamo-No-Mae's rise to power and absolute and total rulership over the entire country.

Public Reaction

Though it caused some stir and there were a few minor rebellions once it was declared that many religions would be outlawed, the might of the new Imperial Government squashed and crushed any dissent to the establishment of the List of Approved Gods...such that now, it has been ingrained into the minds of the Imperium's citizens for so long that it has simply become another fact of life.

Legacy

As it has led to the founding of the entire Eastern Imperium, the public and country considers it a beloved and integral part of their country's history.

Imperial List of Approved Gods

Article 1. The Worship of all Gods within this document shall be allowed and protected as per the laws of the Imperial Maeish Codex. The Gods whose worship is legal and allowed are as follows:

The Kitsune Queen, Tamamo-No-Mae

The Skyshaman, Bao Tse

The Warring Twins, Musho and Fukuro

The Jady Lady, Hikuyo

The Lord of Plenty, Daishonin

The Weaver, Itrix

The Platinum Dragon, Bahamut

The Allhammer, Moradin

The Tidefather, Leviathan

The Tidemother, Sturgeon

The Divine General, Ruthger

The Bonelord, Molt

The Archfiend, Asmodeus

1a. The addition of more Gods and their faiths to this document shall be a right vested exclusively within Tamamo-No-Mae herself, and any governing bodies she grants use of her authority.

1b. The Following Gods are to be added to the list of Approved Gods as listed in article 1, above.

Article 2. Any Gods and their faiths approved for worship and contained within this document shall have the right to build Temples and buildings of worship within the territory of the Imperium, and will have this right protected in full accordance with the laws of the Imperial Maeish Codex. These faiths shall have the right to maintain, guard, and protect the buildings of their faith at their own discretion so long as the laws of the Imperial Maeish Codex are obeyed, but these faiths may choose to have these rights taken care of by the Imperium instead.

2a. Such buildings and locations have the right and freedom to exist independently of any Noble House, unless they opt to receive or join such a House. These buildings are still, however, beholden to the laws of the area they inhabit.

Article 3. The Worship of any and all Gods not listed within this document and the possession of any religious paraphernalia associated with illegal faiths or gods shall henceforth be considered Illegal, and a criminal act punishable in full accordance with the laws of the Imperial Maeish Codex.

3a. Any creature(s) caught violating this law shall never be denied the right to renounce their god or object of worship and wholeheartedly embrace the teachings and laws of Tamamo-No-Mae as their one and only god. A creature that repents in this way is cleared of any religious crimes and is to be inducted into the Imperium as a citizen, but must remain so for no less than 5 years under threat of immediate re-imprisonment.
