Zettersberg

Zettersberg is primarily a farming and lumbering community near the woods and mountains on the north-eastern fringes of the Coralous Union, though it has seen an influx of scholars and researchers in recent years after the discovery of ancient ruins in the mountains north of town. Most contact occurs with Riverbend, where harvested pine lumber is floated down the Restile River for dispersion to other Union cities. Zettersberg has an uneasy cessation of hostilities with the Krh'shi'sn Tribe in the western marshes, but travel through the area is ill advised, as the tribe still considers all trespassers in their lands enemies.
The pine forests to the north are tended by a group of druids belonging to the Northern Pine Circle, who work with the local rangers and lumberjacks to hunt and harvest responsibly. In exchange, the druids help keep Zettersberg safe from encroaching threats, like gnoll raiders from the northern plains and kobold tribes indigenous to the deep woods.

Government

The position of headman has been passed from one head of the Zettersberg family to the next since the founding of the town by Henrik Zetters early in the days of the colony. As time went on, the family name came to match the name of the town they governed.

Industry & Trade

Zettersberg primarily exports lumber from the northern pine forest to cities on the eastern side of the Union. The recent discovery of ruins north of town has brought in archeologists and researchers as well, but nothing like that seen in Arboris.
