A well-to-do merchant in Nettle Lake with a hot temper and questionable ethics in his dealings. Despite his less than savory nature, his drive to expand his family's wealth and power has made him a successful businessman in the area. After rising in power and influence for many years, he finally over extended himself in a row with a group of local adventurers. When they accidentally blinded his son, Badelyn Devonshire, he went after them using both legal and illegal means. While he was successful pressing them in court for damages, his plot to have them attacked by a local gang came to light, and he was arrested for his part. Afterwards, his assets were seized by the Knox Trader's Guild pending an investigation into his activities.
