Son of Orryn Devonshire, he is being groomed to serve as his father's right hand in business. While he lacks his father's hot temper, they share the loose morals that the Devonshires have become known for.
During an "outing" with some other merchant-class boys in Miller's Bend, he got caught up in criminal activities masterminded by Verant, and ran afoul of the adventurers hired to put an end to it. After being caught threatening Cindy Sandberg, one of the adventurers ran him down and accidentally blinded him during the ensuing fight. Afterwards he became sullen and withdrawn, even after his father was able to have him healed. Later, when his father tried to get revenge on the adventurers, it came to light that Orryn had been working with a local gang to engage in criminal activities. Orryn was imprisoned, and most of the family's assets were seized by the Knox Trader's Guild.
