Jacques Lambert is founder and current leader of Shackleton. Formerly a military general, Lambert went on to found the Resistance movement and has spent most the last few years undercover. He has total authority over Shackleton and is top of the Keln Empire's wanted list.

Personal history

Jacques Lambert was born in 2025 in France at the end of World War III. From a young age, he aspired to follow in his father's footsteps - a renowned general who died in battle during the War. After leaving school, he joined the French army - fighting in many of the remaining conflicts that broke out in the aftermath of the war.
After several years in the French army, the French Government began to collapse as rapidly increasing desertification resulted in anarchy. The Government fell, alongside the other European governments. Jacques moved to West Antarctica, joined the West Antarctican Army and was stationed in Berkner. Owing to his time in the French army, he quickly became a high-ranking officer.
When the Keln Empire invaded in 2055, Jacques was one of the soldiers leading the army against the aliens alongside the local gangs and militias. Although they lost the battle, Jacques survived the conflict.
During the riots that ensued in the early days of Keln occupation, Jacques led many of the rioting groups and made several speeches to the crowds. When the Enforcers cracked down on rioters, Jacques fled with an army of followers to Shackleton Range - the mountains in the East.
In the caverns of Shackleton Range, the Resistance was born - Jacques founded Shackleton and became its leader. For the next few years, Shackleton quietly disrupted the operations of the Keln Empire - establishing a network of safehouses and operatives.
The last time Jacques was personally involved in operations were the Shackleton Riots. Following the assassination of former prime minister Kenneth Anderson, an operative for Shackleton and beloved public figure, the public began to riot. Shackleton armed the furious citizens and the riot turned severely violent. Jacques led several groups of rioters and captured large areas of territory in Berkner. However, it did not last as the Empire summoned reinforcements and the main instigators were executed. Once again, Jacques successfully fled.
Following the riots, Jacques was high up on the Empire's wanted list. For his own safety, he went permanently undercover - residing in the unknown headquarters of Shackleton - believed to be in the subterranean caverns of Shackleton Range. He remains fully involved in the operations of Shackleton, giving orders from his secret bunker - but never gets personally involved.
