Calypso - The Celestial

Calypso is the goddess of the heavens, often being associated with the zodiac and planetary movements as well as dimensions.

History

In primordial history, Calypso forcibly took over the aspects of the heavens and the Ethereal Plane, thus having a taste of magic for herself. This made her oppose Amagus, who declared her a villain and enemy of humanity. Thus, from the beginning, her worship was heretical. This did not stop from fortune tellers, sailors, and some witches from associating with her. Sometimes, she would even make deals with mortals to do her bidding. The magic given to these mortals would be called "Voodoo".   In the beginning of the second age, Calypso made a pact with a pirate named Dana Cortez, keeping her alive as long as she protected the seas of the Wallingwish Islands from Illithids. She considered the Illithids invaders of Talamh and wanted them gone from the realm. Calypso manipulated the pirate and the Champions of Maclir to deal with the Mind Flayer threat in 2A 56. Unfortunately for her, Alexandroth Hapsburg under the influence of the goddess Morganine destroyed Dana Cortez and, though the Elder Brain was destroyed, many Mind Flayers remained in the world.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

Often times, a fancy hat is her holy symbol, which has changed through the ages. In the Dark Ages of Lysandus, it was notably a pointed cap. However, in the Colonial Age in the Wallingwish Islands, it was a wide-brimmed feathery cap.   A relic of Calypso is the Beads of the Zodiac, an item which often transforms it's users based on their zodiac sign. The beads are in a necklace form, and each bead has a sign of the zodiac in the heavens above.

Along the ridges of her eyes, you can see pearls implanted into the eyebrows and under her eyes. Her lips are a purple color, while her ears are pierced with many earrings. She looks rather lavish.

Apparel & Accessories

Calypso loves wearing very nice hats in all of her appearances. Her clothes are a silky dark purple, with silver engravings laded across the dress.

Personality Characteristics

Motivation

Calypso is infatuated by mortals and enjoys giving them fortunes and signs in the sky in order to give them a higher sense of purpose. When she grants a mortal powers, she often uses them as a vessel to change fortune in the world by the chance of the dice.
