The Aldnoa Concord

The Aldnoa Concord, an agreement of alliance between The Heroes Guild and Shapers, was the both the first peace treaty between guilds, and marked a turn in the war between The Heroes Guild and the Carrion Crown.   Once a mere paper document, now kept within the safety of the Sophia, it too is etched on the Archimedes Hengeway, stone tablets that record all relevant laws and treaties within the territory of Castallen Owtla, as a tribute to that concord.   The agreement was prompted by several circumstances: Guildmaster of The Heroes Guild, Aldnoa Astrashiy, was at a stalemate with the Carrion Crown, both forces losing equally; not only would this readily upset the balance of society that had grown to look up to and model the legacy of The Heroes Guild, but the moving Crown City too had begun to march with no one sure to where it would seek to claim. A great many believed it would move on the Ievlen Empire--long standing rivals. This would thusly secure the Carrion Crown as victors. In fear of this and lametting their loses, The Heroes Guild put out a call for aid, agreeing to give equal help to any assistance given. Both the Shapers and the Conduits Assemblage rose to the call, but the agreement was only signed between Aldnoa Atrashiy and the Head Shaper at the time, Iedrith Urbane.   Unofficially, it is thought that Aldnoa Astrashiy met with the Conduits Assemblage to not ask for their military aid--as they had none at the time, but instead to ask for their wisdom, or prophecy. It is rumored that the Conduits here told the guildmaster where the Crown City would walk--into the Adrelan Republic. Whether or not this is true is not recorded. What is recorded is the mention of the Conduits Assemblage in the Aldnoa Concord as to be under the protection of both the Shapers and Heroes Guild without outright declaring them allies.   Instead, the agreement solidified that forces would be supplied from the Shapers to The Heroes Guild to assist and finally quell the war. In exchange, The Heroes Guild would become outspoken allies of the Shapers and assist in at least one of their civil projects, the latter presupposing their side won the war.   This is why, after such victory, The Heroes Guild dedicated resources to building several Shaperates as well as the Sophia, though the latter structure was out of goodwill. As such, the Accord was later amended that the Shapers and The Heroes Guild would come to one another's aid in battle should either the two call for aid.
