Well well well if the homo sapiens didn't just start killing off all the non-homo sapiens.

Homo sapiens are around, they're beginning to farm, they're getting rid of the neanderthals and other semi-human scum through outbreeding them ("ha! The fact that an entire 1/2 of my children survive to adulthood when only 1/3 of yours do, combined with me having 1.2 x as many children, means that it is only a matter of generations before my kind outnumbers yours so ridiculously that, were we to interbreed, it would become difficult for members of your kind to end up with fellow members of your kind, allowing us to mate with our hybrids and then mate with those hybrids with them becoming more and more like us with every generation until your species basically no longer exists! And to believe it can be done without spilling a single drop of blood"), killing them, out-competing them ("huzzah! It appears that we're better at getting to those mushrooms than you and so you shall starve when we do not") and so on, and that proper road to civilization is being paved.
