Summer Camp 2019

The prize has landed - but alas, no tin of artistic ability to help me use it.

Summer Camp 2019 - as I put this article in place I’m really not sure how I will approach the challenge of 30 more or less completed articles in 31 days. My intention is to use it to flesh out the Marivan Empire which has been referenced in a number of articles but about which I have not really thought a great deal. It seemed a handy way to explain odd things but has now been invoked enough that it probably needs some attention in its own right.

So... unless I decide otherwise when the prompts come out, where the prompts refer to my world, I’ll take that as being the Empire. After all they had egos as big as a very big thing and considered nothing outside the empire to be better than what could be found in it - so for them, if its the most famous in the empire, it’s the most famous in the world. That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!

Broadly speaking, my objectives for this year's Summer Camp are:

To write a lot. 34,884 words in the 30 published articles

To fill in some history of the world.I now know a lot more about the Marivan Empire.

To encourage others.  An ambitious target for giving feedback that I got nowhere near. Must try harder.

To stretch my use of World Anvil for formatting and presenting. Some of the later ones were a bit sloppy and I didn't really do much "stretch". Time todip my toes into CSS.

To have fun while doing the above. Definitely had fun doing it.

So let's say three and a half out of five - pretty good, but opportunities for improvement (as they say).
