Segestica

Segestica is a mining settlement to the North-West of Vostrum and is the Birthplace and holy-site of the Saint Syntrofius.
The Town itself is actually the center-point of a number of smaller settlements that dot the Southern regions of the Syntrofius Mountains, producing together a significant amount of Iron, Copper, and Tin. Due to it's remote location though, the town has also developed a significant local metallurgy production industry, becoming a semi-independant township from the nearby city of Vostrum.
The town has it's onw guard forces, and has built strong stone walls to defend itself from any threats that may emerge from the otherwise desolate mountains that it inhabits. 
Despite this, the roads to and from the town from the South are notoriously dangerous, patrolled by powerful bandit clans looking to pillage under-protected caravans laden down with valuable metal products. As such, the town itself has become a center for mercenary training and recruitment, as mercenaries are often required to be hired by traders and travellers alike to safely enter and leave the wildlands around the town.
