Patavium

Patavium is the center of administration for the holdings of House Sideron in the Cardyyd Forest. It is ruled directly by the House's head, Adelaide Sideron.
The town itself was founded over top of the largest known Sun-Steel vein the forest, and thus the town is the wealthiest of any other. in the region The town itself is well fortified, with proper stone walls, a moat, and a significant garrison. The population itself is mostly concerned with the mines, either working directly in them or supporting them in some way.
Even the forest itself has been cleared for a long distance around the walls, so the city cannot be surprised by attacks from the forest, whose trees would actually dwarf the walls themselves. The land surrounding the city has thus been turned into farmland, though farmers have been struggling with plants encroaching from the forest, and predators attacking their livestock, making farming difficult.
