Continent of Fire

The hellish continent of the East, Irrylia, has not always been subject to magma rivers and toxic fumes. It was once a great Elven continent during the days of their immortality. Animals, trees and rivers dotted the landscape, and the Elves roamed in peace through its lush valleys and plains. With The Malediction came its doom however, first scorched by an infestation of beasts who were driven up from the stirring mountains beneath. Those Fuming Mountains then covered the continent in a cloud of ash, and rivers of fire set the land ablaze.
This is where the few survivors of those once great Elves now reside; the Ash Elves or Ashen Ones of the continent of fire.
