Temislow
Demographics
The population of Temislow is a tight-knit mix of long-standing families, seasonal workers, and a handful of reclusive individuals who have moved here to “disappear.”
Government
Temislow is run by a mayor elected every six years. While it operates under the jurisdiction of its regional governance, the mayor here holds unusual authority due to the remote nature of the town.
Industry & Trade
Temislow produces a small amount of timber and stone, but its economy largely depends on seasonal harvests of rare herbs that grow in the nearby hills.
Infrastructure
The town is small but self-sufficient. Power is generated through a mix of wind and solar, supported in part by unknown technology funneled in by the Blue Curtain. Roads are well-maintained, and an underground tunnel system links the hospital to the research base and several key buildings, though its existence is a closely guarded secret.
Districts
The Spring
The heart of Temislow, this is the oldest part of town. It features old stone buildings, the town hall, mayor’s residence, and most of the stores. A weathered statue of the town’s founder, Owin Merreck, stands in the center square.
Raven Horn
Primarily residential, Raven Horn contains the only school, Temislow Community Hospital, a small library, and scattered businesses like a bakery, a small smithy, and a bar named The Low Note. Most citizens live in this district.
Assets
Temislow Community Hospital: The most modern structure in town and a cover for the underground Blue Curtain research facility.
The Spring Fountain: Said to have healing properties, its waters are collected during festivals and stored in glass vials as keepsakes.
Old Mill Ruins: Now a crumbling structure, children are warned not to play near it. It's watched by Blue Curtain agents.
History
The Blue Curtain has always had a hold on this town, but very few know of the secret research base under Temislow Community Hospital. This hold was established when the town was founded because The Blue Curtain can time travel. Many believe that the town's founding was as a hopeful outpost for herbalists and seekers of peace.

Architecture
Buildings are mostly stone and timber, reflecting the mountainous climate. Steep roofs, narrow windows, and thick insulation are common. The hospital and mayor’s house are anomalies—more modern, made with smooth materials that don’t match local quarrying options.
Geography
Nestled in a low valley, Temislow is surrounded by dense pine forests and tall, jagged hills. Mist clings to the landscape most mornings, and the ground is often soft and spongy from constant dampness.
Climate
Cool and temperate with long, misty springs and heavy snowfall in winter. Summer is brief and pleasant, though thunderstorms are frequent. Autumn is vibrant and wet.

Stonebark Pine – dense wood, resistant to decay
