Personal history
As a member of the Moonshadow Clan, Shamar was raised on stories of Vasha Blackblade. He reveres her.
He has seen many battles against the other Orc Clans and with them against the Elves. He has the battle scars to prove it and wears them with pride. He has such pride in them that he hasn't covered them with tattoos.
It was during a rather ferocious battle with the Elves that he was badly wounded. He stumbled delirously into the Forest and collapsed. It wasn't until he was feeling better that he realized that an Elf tended to him. She was the most beautiful thing he'd seen and despite his initial distrust, he was quickly won over.
He fell in love with Amra, made plans with her, and made love to her. When he was well-enough, he went back to his Clan. As time permitted, he built a hut for the two of them to live in. But when she failed to join him, he thought she'd betrayed him and the love he felt for her.
He didn't go back to the hut he built until Ella Cooper came back to The Night Lands. As much as he didn't want to, he helped her and the two Humans who raised her. And as appalling as it was, he agreed with Anlyth Nightshade about her being the one to renew both races.
