Personal history
Anlyth became Elf King after his father, Aerendir Nightshade, stepped aside. To date, Anlyth has held this position longer than anyone else in his family.
Anlyth has been the strictest when it comes to enforcing the law of no interbreeding with the Orcs. To the point that he disowned Amra, his own daughter, and had her executed in a very painful and slow manner.
The reason he wasn't stripped of being Elf King is because he didn't (technically) break elven princples and he has protected Elven borders and interests better than any others with the exception of his grandfather's, Thranduil Moonsong, reign.
When he realizes where Amra sent the babe, he had a group of elves kidnap one of the humans who raised the babe. While this did force the now grown child to come back to The Night Lands, it brought along the consequences that both Elf and Orc feared.
With the Ogres decimating both races before being defeated, he begrudingly conceded to allow his grandchild to become mother to a new race.
