History
Unlike other Orc clans who openly clash with both Elves and rival Orcs, the Moonshadow Clan operates in the shadows, a silent and ever-present threat. Their history is one of infiltration, manipulation, and striking from the heart of the enemy.
Seeds of Discontent: The Moonshadow Clan's origins are shrouded in mystery. Some believe they were ostracized by other Orcs for their unconventional tactics, leading them to hone their skills of blending in. Others whisper of a deliberate strategy, a cunning leader who saw the advantage of striking from within. Regardless of their beginnings, the Moonshadow Clan embedded themselves amongst the other Orc clans, becoming the ghosts in the machine.
Weaving Deception: Moonshadow Orcs are masters of disguise, adopting the mannerisms, dress, and even war paint of the clan they infiltrate. They learn their rivals' strengths and weaknesses, becoming trusted advisors, skilled warriors, or even lovers. All the while, they sow seeds of discontent, whispering doubts about leadership, questioning the purpose of endless war, and subtly manipulating events to benefit their own agenda.
The Night of Broken Spears: A pivotal moment in Moonshadow history is the legendary "Night of Broken Spears." Infiltrated Moonshadow Orcs across different Orc clans orchestrated a coordinated rebellion. Under the cloak of darkness, they assassinated key leaders, sowed confusion, and turned allies against each other. The Orcish forces fractured, leading to a devastating internal conflict. While the Moonshadow Clan suffered some losses, the true victory was the crippling blow dealt to Orcish unity.
Elusive Enemy: Elves hold a particular disdain for the Moonshadow Clan. They consider them dishonorable and cowardly, striking from hiding and manipulating events rather than facing them in open combat. However, the Elves recognize the danger the Moonshadow Clan poses.
