The Long Stride

The Long Stride extends as an arid savanna belting Oren as a borderland between the northern dunes and Lower Wylds. Various bands of nomadic people claim 'The Stride' as their home with most gathered around contested watering holes and dried arroyos. From the south, the Stride slowly rises in elevation leading to a sharp escarpment averaging 1km high. The coastline features striking cliffs that stretch north into the Fosse where many ruined watch towers provide homes for the richly diverse fauna that dot the landscape. The Low Road trails along the west of the Stride providing goods to the few struggling settlements along the roadside and prey to various gangs of raiders.
Due to the scorchification of the northern desert, desert wildlife and creatures have invaded southward. This incursion has continued to push southward and now encompasses the majority of the Stride.
