Sir Calcas of Fishlake

Sir Calcas ͏͏͏͏

Calcas was a Cumbrian knight born in Maris and grandfather of Sir Gwyn of Oxenwood and Sir Penwyn of Oxenwood. Calcas was the second lord of Fishlake.   He was a staunch dissident opposing the rule of High King Vortigern, and fought in the Battle of Cambenet and the Battle of Otterburn before dying in the Battle of Lincoln.   His coat of arms is a rousant gold eagle, addorsed and inverted, and a gold descrescent against a black field.
