Circle of the Blightmoon

The Circle of the Blightmoon functions as on of the houses of the Solstrum Principity although it is so in power only. Its basically a druid clan with the legal power and influence of a noble house whilst still functioning like a druid clan.   The Circle venerates The Blightmoon and the changes it brings seeing in it the true form of nature. They believe man's view of nature is skewed. People are always try to find the beauty in nature, envisioning clear waterfalls, fields of flowers etc. And because of that they only help that version of nature grow. They nourish the flowers whilst getting rid of the weeds. The Circle of the Blightmoon believes nature is ugly and that ugliness should be embraced. It should be allowed to run its course without being altered to fit the wishes of man.   Emperor Eltnam Cordullius seems to have come to a rather deep understanding with the Circle leading to unprecedented good relations.

History

Because of there veneration of The Blightmoon a large number of putrid and dangerous creatures roam the forest of the circle as well as flesh eating plants that reside there. This makes there forest especially hostile and kept out most colonists. When the Tragodian Emperor arrived they made a deal with the emperor to help the farmlands of the empire with there druidic magic and in exchange they would gain ownership of there forest. Durring the rest of the Reign of the Tragodian emperor's this deal was mostly upheld but poachers and lumberjacks would repeatedly show up in the forest. The complaints of the circle about this fell on deaf ears. They had to try and intimidate these men since murdering them would probably result in a large crackdown on the circle. The intruders knew this so efforts to get rid of them proved mostly ineffective.
During the age of judgment the Circle channeled there magic to increase the blight in there forest making it more dangerous and deadly than ever. Though turning there forest defensive like this did mean altering the natural course of nature so this was done reluctantly. After the portals where closed there forest was returned to its more natural state and they where invited to be a part of the new Solstrum Principality.
This initially sparked great hope within the Circle but after a couple years it became clear that this was not an improvement of the previous status quo. They slowly lost parts of the forests due to House Tessius. They only reason the Circle still exists is that they managed to leverage their druidic power enough to do so.

Allies

Although there philosophies vary greatly they share a strong history of oppression by the civilized nations. Due to this the Circles assist each other in a rare case of the ally ship from the Circle of the Hunt

Close Relations

The new emperor is the first to engage in good faith diplomacy with the circle and seeks to help them. This has made the Circle verry loyal to the Emperor which he in turn greatly appreciates.

Friendly

The two circle share little contact but have a shared respect for nature and each others beliefs.

Improving

House wishmaker has before the year 2002 AT not recieved a single request from the circle and on the orders of others house has in the past commited transgressions against them. Under the advice of Emperor Eltnam Cordullius the Circle has started to request the services of House Wishmaker on occasion and there relationship is tentatively improving.

One sided fraternization

House Mirbello wants desperately to create a strong alliance between them and the circle. The Circle is still wary due to there worship of other gods but receptive.

Collaboration by necessity.

The Circle has had little direct contact with house Zetsubo but harbours a general distrust of the houses of the Solstrum Principality. House Zetsubo distrusts the druids and dislikes there collaboration with Emperor Eltnam Cordullius but does partially rely on there services.

Collaboration by necessity

The Circle has a general distrust of the houses of the Solstrum Principality. House Justice has created further animosity with their public dislike of the Circle seeing them as lawless vagrants. Despite this out of necessity House Justice requires the services of the Circle and does not see them beyond redemption.

Collaboration by necessity

The Circle has has a great dislike for the efforts of House Saelethil to chop large parts of the Blighted Forrest. House Saelethil in turns holds the Circle in little regard for the Circle due to there presumed low racial status. Regardless of this House Saelethil requires the service of the Circle and the Circle can't afford to directly oppose the powerfull house.
