Adventuring Guilds
Besides some mercenary companies that specialize in defeating monsters and local offices for jobs in and around a specific city the continent of Troïka knows 3 Adventuring Guilds.
The Adventuring Guild concept was invented by the great explorer Maria Engelbert. Her guild was also dubbed simply "The Adventuring Guild". After her many travels trough Troïka she created this guild in the spirit of adventure, co-operation and kindness. Headquartered within the Movanic Monastery at the center of the continent the guild employs a wide variety of skilled adventurers who take on request from the entire contintent. This does of course come with the downside of request taking a long time to be fullfilled due to the travel times involed. To mitigate this somewhat the guild established many offices of the guild all around the continent. These days however, there offices are a lot less common outside of the Impesta region. Before the civil war the organisation used to be more prevelent but after the war and the age of judgment which led to a large decline of avalible adventureres the Guild had a distinct lack of members. In addition the newly formed Solstrum Principality no longer trusted an organisation that operated equaly across the entire continent and could easily be infiltrated by spies from the newly seceded nations. To this end they started putting a large amount of scrutiny on the Adventuring Guild and limited there ability to do buisness in Solstrum. At the same time most request from Atzul where being fullfiled via the new indulgences of the Council of 10. Because of this the Adventuring guild has a few offices in the mayor cities of Atzul and Soltstrum but finds most of its buisness within Impesta and the The Impesta Confederacy, as most states within Impesta happily pay the guild to solve there issues.
The guild functions on a freelancer system with different ranks assigned to individuals or groups. A request is availible for everyone untill someone accepts it to avoid unwanted strife in between members and some more dificult request are locked off to those of higher ranks.
Named after a famed general that died durring the Age of Judgment in the fight against monsters the Howard meuring Foudnation is the Solstrum Principality's answer to the Adventuring Guild. It is a state run organisation that keeps ties with the noble houses of Solstrum and employs a competent fighting force designed to kill monsters. This includes full time employees but also a large amount of members of minor nobility(either of a low house or low within a house) that are called upon when necessary. The organization mostly exists to combat large threats within the Principality and stand ready to combat any cases of spontantous monsterfication or appearences of truly dangerous beasts. It widely differs per noble house how much they support and rely on the Foundation tho all of the big 5 have there own combat force for these kind of issues.
The Solstrum Principality is a large place and the Foundation does not have the time with its limited manpower to promptly deal with every request that arives at its doorstep. To this end it posts some request it cannot get to promptly as bounties. Anyone who claims this bounty gets a reward from the foundation. One cannot reserve any bounties. The one who shows up with the monsters head gets the reward, this does mean that even if someone isn't aware of a request, they might still be able to get a reward if it was present. Most bounties that don't get taken up will eventualy get solved by the Foundation itself when they have time to get around to it. The Foundation has an office in every city in Solstrum and some larger towns aswell.
The great confederated aid organization of Impesta (dubbed aid for short) was an attempt to create a unified front from the new confederacy to combat any threats to the new nation together. Sadly there where still grievences between the different states and when it came to assembling the organisation large arguments over funding, authority, and how it should be organised. Due to this all the Impesta states use the Adventuring Guild when needed, leaving aid an underfuned and overlooked organisation that is send out to do jobs the adventurers are unwilling to do or overlook, either because the are verry borring, unplessent or dangerous.
Atzul has no formal Adventuring Guild but it in practice does. Priests and messengers of the Council of 10 collect grievences of Atzuls citizens and hand out Indulgences to them. These indulgences are letters with a request from the council towards an individual. This can be something as simpy as waving to the third person they see that day. Sometimes these Indulgences can include locations and requests to slay monsters. Blacksmits often recieve indulgences to leave out weapons at specific times or to give them to certain customers for free. Following these Indulgences is Law for the citisens of Atzul and failure to follow them does have consequences.
