Case #1: Case of the Recipe Riddle
Head Chef and owner of famous restaurant, Thunderbird Grill, reports his secret recipe book is missing, and hires Eagle Eye Detective Agency to quietly find it.

- The party receives the case from Nedria.
- The party has brunch at the restaurant and interviews some members of staff.
- The party visits Cedric at his home to interview him.
- The party returns to the restaurant at the end of the day to interview other staff members and to investigate the restaurant and office for clues.
Structure
Exposition
Cedric Lynchfield is the aging Head Chef and owner of the famous Thunderbird Grill. Thunderbird Grill is world-renowned and Cedric is famous for his combining of mundane and magical cooking techniques. His specialty dishes have been known to cure illness, heal wounds, temporarily increase physical or mental attributes, grant boons and dispel banes. The specialty dishes are expensive, but worth it.
Thunderbird Grill is located in a busy part of town, facing a prominent commercial street, while high-end townhouses, apartments and city manor homes sprawl out in the background. It has been an establishment in the community since its founding 50 years ago.
The Chef has contacted Eagle Eye Detective Agency to quietly find and recover his missing recipe book. Only a few people even know of the book's existence, as it's a closely guarded secret as it would be devastating in the hands of a competitor. Plus, the 70-year-old chef's memory just isn't what it used to be. He relies on the book to help him recall the more than 400 recipes that make up the dishes, and components therein, that his restaurant serves.
Conflict
Cedric is training Sous Chef Leo Fallenbridge to take over the restaurant.
He promoted Leo over Junior Chef Rina Stoutfish.
Rina is upset and secretly wants to start her own restaurant with Cedric's recipe book.
Junior Chef Dilna Bonemuncher doesn't like Leo because he's a Brelimonder.
Dilna would rather see Rina take over.
Resolution
Once confronted with the evidence of Rina's guilt, she eventually confesses to the scheme (possibly with the help of banes). Cedric is forced to fire her, and warns her he'll be keeping tabs on her and if she tries anything like this anywhere else, he'll have her blacklisted from the culinary world.

The Thunderbird Grill could suffer or shut down if the book isn't found. The party won't be paid if they fail.
Red Herrings
Rina planted the copied office key she used to break into Cedric's offic into Leo's locker to frame him. Leo being a Brelimonder is regarded suspiciously by other members of staff who are fey, casting him in a bad light to the party.
