General Summary
The party wrapped up Case #1 and started Case #2. Things shared with the group are still up on the "live/handout" page, and this report summarizes the events that occurred.

Ada, Herry, and Tiana found a copy of the key to Chef Cedric's office in Leo's locker and confronted him about it. He claimed to have no knowledge of how it got there.
Tiana found business cards for a restaurant (later revealed to not exist) and a bank (later revealed to be a different bank from the one used for payroll) in the pocket of Rina's spare uniform in her locker, and noticed one of the uniform's sleeves was torn.
Ada found a piece of fabric matching the uniform sleeve under Cedric's desk.
Herry broke Cedric's desk drawer by accident, getting a splinter in his arm, but found the missing recipe book in the drawer's false bottom, which Cedric said he didn't even know was there.
Cedric and the detectives confronted Rina, and she confessed to taking the book to copy and eventually return, and use modified version of the recipes to open her own restaurant. Cedric fired her, which, according to their contract, meant she couldn't use any recipes learned in the restaurant in any future endeavors. Had the restaurant failed while she was still under contract, she would've been free to use the recipes in her own restaurant, but now, whether Thunderbird Grill fails or persists, she will have to start from scratch if she still wants to open her own restaurant.
Back at The Eagle Eye Detective Agency HQ the following day, Ada, Herry, and Tiana meet Lily Flowerbreeze, a very young wood elf girl who brought her piggy bank to pay the detectives to find her missing purebred Brelimonder Highland lilac colorpoint cat. Lily told them her kitty, Peony always walks her either to or from school, but on Friday, she didn't do either, and was gone all weekend. Lily's mother, Rose Flowerbreeze confirmed the details and said she'd put out food and the litterbox to try and attract Peony home, to no avail. She mentioned the neighbor was the last one to see the cat, and that other neighbors had mentioned pets also going missing. The three detectives talked to Molvayas Ssambra, the dark elf neighbor who knew Rose's husband and checks in on the Flowerbreeze family from time to time and keeps an eye on Lily and her cats when they're outside, especially since he feels guilty he couldn't keep their previous cat from getting hit by a carriage. He told them Peony was let out Friday afternoon and walked towards the school to walk home with Lily, but the girl came home without her. He also mentioned seeing a strange, dark-cloaked figure in the surrounding alleys and that he'd heard the same thing as Rose from other neighbors about their pets going missing. He mentioned mortal Brelimonder pets being unusual in Asuldan and being fairly valuable.
