Arikric: Heiþal hisp Arikróa /xɛːiθaːl ɦɪsph aːrikhrouaː/
Kmúþic: Heiþal isp Arikróa /hɛːiθaːl ɪsph aːrikhrouaː/
Númric: Jötor Arikróa /jœthɔːr aːrikhrouːa/
Fjúnic: Nóðzin Arikor /nouːðzɪn aːrikhɔːr/
Hmargic: Arkra /aɺkhɺa/
Arikróa is a landlocked republic in southwestern Rúþría, a region in the northern Southlands in southern Borgalor, and the one located farthest inland on the continent, bordered by the countries of Númra and Fjún to the south and southwest, respectively, and the Larsis Mountains to the south. Centered around the upper Tarnúra River (locally known as Tarnúr), Arikróa's capital is the city of Úxepa to the north, and the country's current president is Úmylik Tezrax.
Smaller in size and population than neighbouring Númra, together these two countries are home to much of the human population outside their native Jælondis. Most Arikróans are descendants of colonists hailing from Kmúþó, a kingdom that was destroyed forty years ago during the terrible Fell Wars, and houses a significant minority of Kmúþans fleeing the conflict, including king Tejalar Ytym II, whose court forms the kmúþan government-in-exile. The locals have mixed feelings about his presence there, which has sparked a number of conspiracy theories about the king's ultimate goals.
Arikróa is most known for its horses, which are of kmúþan stock and bred to be exceptionally resistant to the cold winters of the Southlands. Historically, arikróans were often employed as mercenaries by warring colonies and independent states throughout Rúþría, usually fighting as light cavalry armed with javelins, magic staves or spears.
Dusp-Tarnúr encompasses the eastern part of Arikróa, which has a relatively mild climate due to being shielded from cold southern winds by the Larsis Mountains further inland.
Inas-Tarnúr encompasses the colder, sparsely populated land west of Tarnúr, much of which is used to raise sheep and hardy arikróan ponies by semi-nomadic families. Because of this, the region is sometimes referred to as Little Maralon.
Ponrúkal encompasses the capital of Úxepa and surrounding region by the river to the north, named in honour of king Ponrúx I by the first team of explorers to describe the area and later colony. According to tradition, their campsite was located in what is now the city's old market square.
