The Durns' Farm
Larger and more prosperous than Leeka Nin's farm, the Durns maintain several large fields of corn and alfalfa, plus some smaller personal plots for their own family and hands. Located south of the western end of Deep Lake, a little less than a mile from the water's edge, the Durns farm, along with the The Skree Farm, are the closest of Elmont's farm settlements to Leeka Nin's and the Lake itself.
When the Hawks discover the farm, it looks relatively untouched. It's only when Patch spots a man's arm sticking up from a shallow ditch that separates the farmstead from the fields proper does the party suspect that this farm too has be hit by whatever is prowling the area. The putrid smell of the creatures and the gore within the farmhouse confirm this. It is from the cellars that the party first encounter the creatures face to face, barely escaping from only four of them. The monsters were holed up in the basement of the house where a bloody drag mark ended.
