The Skree Farm

A small farm associated with Elmont, owned outright by Hookum Skree and his wife Milly. Their two sons, William and Saul, are grown. William works for the Haulers in Elmont. Saul is a managing farmhand on Epson Gregorich's farm. The firelight in the night that the Hawks saw from their camp near the Hilltop Tree was the Skree farm burning. About half of the main barn survives. The farmhouse itself has been reduced to a blackened flagstone chimney and charred rubble. Farmer and Wife Skree, as well as their two hired hands, are nowhere to be found.
