The Grand Palace
The home of the Imperial family. Built during the time of Grand Empress Terraxia Primus but was not completely finished until the time of Terraxion VI, though construction had been on and off between the dynasties and many sections were changed over the extensive period of time.
Purpose / Function
Serves mainly as the home of the Imperial Family but also contains the office of both the Terraxia Primus and Betax or Betaxa making it a meeting place. It also has rooms for the families and Governors of the major city-states as a show of unification.
Alterations
Many sections were build or half-built before a later Terraxia Primus decided the room needed a different purpose. For example, an observatory commissioned by Cassius I was altered to be a secret war room by Titus I
Tourism
While the palace is not open to the public, there are viewing spots around the building where photos are allowed (after photography was invented) or where people can just view the architectural wonder. Generally the only visitors to the palace are Governors from other cities and their families.
